Who We Are
Our Story
We Are Friends Foundation was born from a simple conviction: the trilateral alliance between the United States, Japan, and South Korea is one of the greatest engines for peace and prosperity in human history. Our founder—a veteran and author on U.S.–Asia relations—saw that while governments spoke to each other, the next generation was being left to social media algorithms and foreign propaganda.
For fifteen years, WAFF has operated on personal sacrifice and volunteer effort. We have written books now used in graduate schools, mentored youth across the region, and built a practical blueprint to counter disinformation and isolationism at the level of students, campuses, and communities.
Our Identity
Veteran-Led
Our board and advisors include U.S. and allied veterans who understand the alliance from inside the institutions that built it.
Scholar-Anchored
Our work is grounded in research and publications that are respected in academic circles, not in slogans or partisan talking points.
Alliance-Focused
We focus on the U.S.–Japan–Korea relationship because it is the keystone of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
Our Vision
We envision a future where the 2030 generation in Korea, Japan, and the United States see each other as friends and partners in a shared project, not as rivals trapped in zero-sum nationalism.
We want young people to know how the alliance rebuilt their countries after war, to see how today’s tech economy depends on cooperation, and to feel proud to carry that legacy forward.
Help Us Defend the Next Generation
Treaties and summit photos are not enough. The future of the U.S.–Japan–Korea alliance will be decided in the digital feeds and classrooms where the 2030 generation forms its worldview. WAFF has the experience, the research, and the plan. Now we need your partnership to scale.
Join the Forward 2030 Army, support our programs, and stand with the alliance that stands for freedom.
